11 Things...

Since you don't know much about me yet (unless you've visited my old blog), I'd thought I'd share 11 random things about myself. I've also included a little challenge for YOU to do the same (see end of post).

Here we go...

11 Random Things:

1. I love polka dots. Like with a passion. I love them so much that I totally wouldn't mind having my entire house decorated in polka dots. 

2. I will be graduating college in May (yippee!) as Summa Cum Laude. Yup, that makes me a bonafide nerd.

3. I also love quotes with a passion. I just find them so inspiring and motivating. Although I could spend my entire day doing nothing but reading quotes so I suppose it wouldn't be very motivating after all. Whatever. 

4. When I was little, my two older brothers locked me in our linen closet (which was the size of a small bookshelf) and put a chair under the doorknob. I'm so scarred for life. 

5. Despite being tortured by my older brothers and occasionally my older sister, I still love them and put us all in one room and it will just be oozing out the awesomeness (great visual, I know). 

6. I have dreamed the same exact dream 23 times in the past 8 years. Ok, not really 23, but it's been quite a few. Weird. 

7. I am addicted to coffee. Some people have their comfort foods, I have my comfort drink -- coffee. There is nothing coffee can't cure: bad day, exhaustion, heartbreak, etc. Oh, and it is never too late for coffee (i.e. my 2AM cup that was NOT decaf...bring it on, world.). 

8. I play acoustic guitar, bass guitar, piano, and sing a bit, but my ultimate instrument dream is to learn to play the cello (aka the most gorgeous sounding instrument ever). 

9. When I was little, I competed (and won!) in statewide piano competitions. I guess that makes me a bonafide music nerd too. Sheesh. 

10. I love dogs. My dream dog is a German Shepherd whom I will name "Maverick". 

11. I try to be crafty/artsy, but most of the time I end up getting bored and move on to another project before I finish the original one. I'm working on that.

Why Hello There!

Hey there.

First off, thanks so much for clicking whatever link you clicked on to head over to my little blog. This is my first post on this blog, but I've been blogging for a few years over at this one if you'd like to read my old posts (for some reason it won't let me import them. boo.).

So you may be wondering why I started a whole new blog? Well, I'm about to graduate from college in a month (yippee!) and as with pretty much any college grad, you're in for a heck of a lot of changes after that 30 second walk across a stage to get a little dinky piece of paper (which is somehow supposed to make you smarter?). For me personally, I've got some big decisions to make such as which grad school I'm going to (I've got three choices currently), jobs, a new place to move (which depends on my grad school decision), and a bunch more "life events."

In light of all my upcoming changes, I felt it was time for a blog change. Like total change: new blog name, new design, new purpose, even a new host (sorry Wordpress, it's been fun). So lo and behold we have the birth of this little beauty, Dream On, Lovely.

The whole idea of Dream On, Lovely was just to have a lifestyle blog that will consist of a little bit of this & that. Part of it will be about my life and some will just be about little things I find inspiring. Plus I'm absolutely horrible at keeping a "regular" journal so this whole blog thing is just an easier way of sharing some ups & downs about my life.

I hope you'll take a few minutes and say hello...I love meeting new people (even in the blogosphere)! Oh, and if you have a blog, make sure to put the link so I can drop over and say hello as well :)
